Program: BA Human Services – Early Childhood Education [2015]
Job: Elementary Student Instructor

Cherise Taylor [BA Human Services – Early Childhood Education 2015] knew she wanted to become a teacher ever since she was three years old. During her university studies at Tyndale, Cherise took several practical courses that she believes equipped her for her job as an elementary student instructor in a local summer school program and her future career as an early childhood educator. She had the opportunity to plan lessons for school-aged children, and she has been able to take these experiences and apply them to her job.

Cherise is looking forward to pursuing her passion for early childhood education when she graduates from Tyndale. “A lot happens in the first years of school for children,” she says. “Getting them excited about learning at an early age is important.” She is considering applying to Tyndale’s Bachelor of Education program after graduation to strengthen her skills for her career as an early childhood educator.
