Intercultural Ministry
Tyndale is in one of the most multicultural cities in the world. Exchange ideas with people of faith from all kinds of different backgrounds. Learn the story of a new immigrant to Canada who fought their way out of oppression. Swap stories with a man who grew up in completely different understanding of the church. Build relationships with people who are from opposite cultures united by the same faith.
Global Mission Teams
Journey to a country overseas with a missions team. Every year, Tyndale sends out over 40 students to serve in a different cultural context. The people you serve will be your teachers in the way they live, act and worship. You might find yourself so in love with the mission field that you’ll never want to leave. Reach out to your international community and get an eye-opening experience by joining a Tyndale missions team. Some places that Tyndale students have gone in the past are:
Interact and build relationships with the people of Japan, sharing the message of the Gospel through evangelistic concerts to country with less than 1% of a Christian population.
Care and love for those who need Jesus in a practical way as you travel to Kolkata, India to minister to child addicts and prostitutes.
Organize activities and involve the youth among the “bateys”, or communities, of Haitian refugees in the city of Barahona, Dominican Republic.
Program a camp for fifty high school students and deal with their issues of abuse, suicide, and depression in the scenic location of Port Alsworth, Alaska.
