Victoria Edwards - Save the Mothers — Uganda

Program: BA Business Administration – International Development [2014]
Job: Working with Save the Mothers in Uganda

Victoria Edwards [BA Business Administration – International Development 2014] had a dream of working in maternal health care, and her university undergraduate studies and the faculty at Tyndale equipped her for this career. “My professors at Tyndale worked with me to turn my dreams into reality,” she says.

During her internship in summer 2014, Victoria got the chance to shadow midwives in Uganda with Save the Mothers, an international organization that works in developing countries to improve the health of mothers and babies. While there, she experienced first-hand what reality is like on the ground. “Tyndale has prepared me to effectively manage myself and lead teams of people,” Victoria says. “I am confident…because I have been given the knowledge to succeed in the field.”
